Week Eight

This week was about hard work. I actually like to work hard. I am currently a stay-at-home wife/mom, and though I have a lot of work to do in that position, I miss having a full time job out of the home. I like to work with a team and solve problems. I like to check off tasks and impress my boss. At home I have a hard time staying motivated. I am my own boss with zero employees. I have a lot to do and I have to do it all. It's a lot of work. I'm learning how to manage it all, but it is not my usual way of doing things. I think it is a good preparation for someday running my own business, In the beginning I'll be alone, or with a partner, and everything will need to be done. I'll have to motivate myself because I won't have a boss to impress or take direction from.

It is important to remember the small things. Remember the second quadrant. As a mom, and in the future, a entrepreneur, as I keep the important things in place, there will be less stress and urgency.

I will also work on overcoming discouragement. I tend to be very hard on myself.

Notes from this week
It is simply a truism that nothing very valuable can come without significant sacrifice and effort and patience on our part. - Jeffery R. Holland

Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.
Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days. [D&C 64:33–34]
